Actor Denies Anti-Vaccine Stance After Voicing Disputed Coronavirus Feature

Liam Neeson has lent his voice to a feature-length documentary that questions the efficacy of vaccines and commends ex- cabinet secretary RFK Jr.

The Film's Contentious Basis

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is inspired by a bestselling book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the global outbreak for allegations that the virus was caused by a bad strain of the flu vaccine.

The publication's writing partner, the executive producer, has previously authored books with controversial radio host a known commentator. The producer wrote online hailing Neeson's involvement in the project.

An Unequivocal Rebuttal

Representatives for Neeson have released a response strongly denying suggestions that he supports anti-vaccine views.

"We all acknowledge that unethical practices can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be equated to being against vaccines," the response explains. "He has never been, and remains not, anti-vax. His considerable work with the UN children's agency reinforces his long-held support for public-health initiatives."

The statement noted that the actor had no hand in the documentary's messaging and that inquiries about its assertions should be directed to the filmmakers.

Central Claims In the Documentary

As presented, the script read by Neeson includes several controversial points:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "complete compliance" to public institutions.
  • It declares that "science has become deeply politicized."
  • RFK Jr is interviewed saying, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
  • It also criticizes pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Concerning pandemic shots, it references a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Past Background and Ongoing Disputes

The documentary includes a historical film about clinical trials on children, which was later the topic of a correction by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, Kennedy called on the CDC to change its official position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This claim is repeated in the film, despite a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation stating no evidence has been found.

A Previous Position of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has formerly expressed firm endorsement for vaccines in his capacity as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he described vaccines as "a remarkable human success story," noting that "The debate about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's voice saying, "This isn't the conclusion of our journey. This is the start of a different phase."
