British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash
Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday night. The athlete was part of a serious road collision outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two dear friends.”
