President Signs Legislation to Disclose Additional Epstein Documents Following Months of Resistance

The President stated on Wednesday night that he had endorsed the legislation resoundingly approved by Congress members that mandates the justice department to release more documents related to the deceased financier, the dead pedophile.

The move comes after months of resistance from the chief executive and his supporters in the legislature that split his Maga base and generated conflicts with various established backers.

Donald Trump had fought against making public the related records, describing the issue a "false narrative" and railing against those who sought to release the documents public, notwithstanding promising their publication on the election circuit.

However he changed direction in the past few days after it became apparent the legislative chamber would endorse the legislation. The president stated: "Everything is transparent".

It's not clear what the department will release in as a result of the measure – the legislation details a variety of possible documents that must be released, but includes exemptions for certain documents.

The President Endorses Bill to Require Disclosure of Additional Epstein Records

The bill mandates the chief law enforcement officer to make public Epstein-related records open for review "available for online access", covering each examination into Jeffrey Epstein, his associate his accomplice, travel documentation and journey documentation, individuals referenced or named in relation to his crimes, institutions that were connected with his trafficking or financial networks, immunity deals and additional legal settlements, official correspondence about legal actions, evidence of his imprisonment and death, and details about possible record elimination.

The agency will have 30 days to submit the documents. The measure contains specific exclusions, encompassing redactions of personal details of victims or individual documents, any descriptions of minor exploitation, disclosures that would endanger ongoing inquiries or prosecutions and descriptions of death or abuse.
