The former president's Family Member Gets Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance

Emerging athlete getting ready for significant competition

The rising star has considerable social media audience

Kai Trump will have plenty of high-profile supporters as she starts her professional golf debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, operates numerous courses worldwide and frequently matches against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she stated.

The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Just stay calm."

"My grandpa essentially advised me to play and relax," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions recently and has ranking 461 in AJGA standings.

But she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.

"And he's a superior individual. He suggested me to compete, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."

She'll challenge several the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Officials mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to new audiences, specifically reaching younger fans.

The social media influencer boasts a massive following and has started her own fashion and living brand.

She begins at 17:30 GMT.
