This represents the final piece I will compose prior to either outcome materializing: we make it to Gaza, or Israel seizes our ship. We hope to get there on the ninth of October, having been navigating the seas since September 27th.

Last week witnessed Israeli forces apprehending the sailors aboard the first Sumud convoy the night prior to planned landing. This is likely the same moment that Israel might try to intercept our vessels from the Thousand Madleens and Freedom Flotilla Coalition.

Navigating Through Uncertain Waters

Our subsequent convoy has maintained course amid numerous accounts about what happened of the earlier activists. While positioned near Cyprus, preparing for night watch while monitoring an unknown aerial vehicle, we were informed that Israel had illegally commandeered the primary aid vessels outside territorial boundaries.

The following morning delivered troubling information during my regular activities: scrubbing eating utensils in the small sink, checking my phone periodically while Israel progressively captured the remainder of the flotilla.

This development has only strengthened our collective determination to persist in our journey.

Life Onboard

At this sailing stage, I've established a routine. My sleep schedule involves resting between evening and early morning, then working night watch until dawn approaches, managing another two hours later completing five cumulative hours. Further sleeping becomes impractical during choppy waters and constant interruptions of communal living.

My bed comprises a slim mattress placed over the seating area in the communal zone. Each morning I dress within my resting sack as another makes breakfast just steps apart. Multiple factors of communal existence alongside six fellow activists on a 40-foot vessel require significant adaptation.

• Staying in one place proves difficult in specific spots indefinitely without inconvencing companions.

• Shared purpose assists combined with our navigators' experience.
• Their competent awareness produces pervasive serenity.

The Journey's Objective

The medical supplies and baby nourishment items placed in the back section and navigation space of our craft could save numerous lives should we achieve our goal. During a recent interview, an interviewer proposed they viewed our mission as symbolic as stopping appeared certain.

From distant perspectives, this reading may look credible. However, after sailing more than seven days with relief supplies everywhere around you, familiar with its specific storage, maintaining hope becomes essential for reaching those in need.

Beyond Humanitarian Aid

However, delivering aid does not represent the journey's primary goal. Israeli authorities frequently inquire about not allowing their distribution of our aid. Apart from warranted concern concerning implementation during sustained barriers, accepting such arrangements would tacitly accept Israeli control over Palestinian waters.

Disturbing Developments

Additional accounts surfaced about the Sumud flotilla participants: relocation to desert detention, designation as unlawful entrants despite forcible removal outside national jurisdiction. Accounts described withholding of fundamental requirements comprising hydration, treatment and nourishment, accompanied by degrading treatment and periodic aggression from prison authorities.

Current numbers showed 341 activists had been deported while hundreds stayed imprisoned.

Wider Perspective

These circumstances look appalling however they lessen compared to the institutional mistreatment endured by incarcerated individuals at comparable locations. Recorded instances involve deadly force leading to mortality without subsequent accountability for involved personnel.

Human rights organizations have extensively recorded widespread torture practices and gender-based violations throughout imprisonment locations. While international concern concerning humanitarian workers' situation remains justified and necessary, comparable focus has been absent regarding Palestinian hardship during years of struggle.

Morning Reflections

Daily dawn I behold the endless marine expanse and the descending amber moon before the next daybreak. This nautical liberty to navigate vast waters underscores the crucial understanding that our objective surpasses aid.

Liberation for Palestinians stays unachieved and our own liberties continue restricted before that liberation is achieved. This fundamental truth illuminates our ongoing journey. The reasoning proves straightforward.
